Juan Casado participates in POLYMAT Spotlight 2026 in San Sebastián

Juan Casado took part in POLYMAT Spotlight 2026, held in San Sebastián, with the lecture “Photophysics: From Linear-Planar Narrowband Emitters to Cyclic-Curved Lasing Emitters.”

During his presentation, he explored different approaches to the design and study of advanced molecular emitters, showing how molecular structure and geometry directly influence their photophysical properties and their behaviour as light-emitting materials.

The lecture addressed the evolution from linear and planar systems capable of producing narrowband emission to new cyclic and curved molecular architectures with lasing properties, highlighting the potential of molecular design for the development of next-generation photonic materials.

Juan Casado’s participation in POLYMAT Spotlight 2026 provided another opportunity to present CasadoLab’s research and current lines of work at an international scientific meeting, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration in areas such as molecular photophysics, functional materials and photonics.
